At Projectfusion, we believe ethical business is about action, not empty words.
That’s why we’re proud members of 1% for the Planet. It’s a global movement where businesses commit to giving 1% of their annual turnover, not just profit, to environmental causes that protect people and the planet.
It’s simple. It’s audited. And it makes a real difference.
By joining 1% for the Planet, we’ve made a long-term pledge to build giving into the DNA of our business. Whether we’re supporting urban tree planting, wildlife conservation, or local food banks, our goal is the same:
Give back, do better, and back people doing brilliant work.
Here’s where our 1% is going in 2025, and why we’re proud to support every single one of them.
Trees for Cities
Trees for Cities is the only UK charity dedicated to planting trees in urban spaces, helping clean the air, cool down our towns, and create healthier, happier places to live. Their work tackles climate change and supports communities, often in areas that need it most.
They’ve planted over 1.5 million trees so far, and we’re helping them plant even more in 2025.
Surfers Against Sewage
SAS is leading the fight against plastic pollution and sewage spills across the UK’s rivers and coastlines. Their campaigning has changed laws, challenged water companies, and mobilised a national network of beach cleaners and citizen scientists.
They’re proof that a small, loud group can make a huge difference. We love their energy.
ClientEarth
ClientEarth uses the power of law to hold governments and corporations to account. They’ve stopped coal plants, forced environmental reviews, and influenced major policy shifts in Europe and beyond.
Their work is quiet, strategic, and game-changing. When greenwashing won’t cut it, they bring real teeth.
FareShare
FareShare takes good, surplus food from the supply chain and gets it to over 10,000 frontline charities and community groups across the UK. From school breakfasts to homeless shelters, they’re making a massive impact — one meal at a time.
It’s smart, it’s efficient, and it helps tackle both poverty and emissions.
Bumblebee Conservation Trust
Bumblebees are in trouble, and this brilliant little charity is fighting for their future. They protect habitats, run bee-friendly farming programmes, and help the public support pollinators in their own gardens.
Bees are small but vital. We’re proud to help keep them buzzing.
Margate Independent Food Bank
Based near our HQ in Kent, this volunteer-led food bank provides weekly food support for hundreds of people across Margate and Thanet. With the cost of living rising, their work is more important than ever.

Thanet Coast Project
The Thanet Coast is the UK’s only marine Special Area of Conservation designated for chalk reefs, home to seahorses, anemones, and all sorts of weird and wonderful marine life.
This community-led project runs conservation, education, and beach-clean efforts right on our coastline. It’s local, impactful, and exactly the kind of grassroots work we love to support.
Rewilding Britain
Rewilding Britain is bringing wild nature back, from native forests to peatlands to keystone species like lynx and beavers. Their work doesn’t just boost biodiversity; it also supports flood prevention, carbon storage, and rural livelihoods.
They’re restoring balance on a landscape scale, and that’s something worth investing in.
Helping Rhinos
Helping Rhinos protects endangered rhinos across Africa through a mix of anti-poaching efforts, habitat protection, and community partnerships. They work with rangers on the ground and help develop safe, sustainable ecosystems.
Rhinos are ancient, majestic, and under serious threat. We’re proud to stand with those keeping them safe.
So Why Do We Do This?
Because we can, and we should.
At Projectfusion, we’ve been running secure file sharing for over 20 years. We’ve built a trusted business helping professionals share sensitive data safely and quickly. But it’s not just about speed or security it’s about integrity.
We don’t believe in ticking ESG boxes. We believe in ethical business that acts, not just advertises. Our 1% for the Planet pledge is a small way we help build a better future, one tree, one meal, one coastline at a time.
