We are an innovative firm and have been at the forefront of many innovations in our sphere, from crazy developments (don’t ask!) in advertising, to the first online data room.

Way back in 2011 we started giving some of our profit to charity. Then in 2016 we changed the model to 1% of turnover. A really simple metric, easy to track and hard to wriggle out of!

In 2020 our founder Angus read the inspirational book ‘Let My People Go Surfing’ by Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia, and decided to switch our giving to the charity that Yvon setup – 1% for the planet.

He believes it’s time that all businesses should be giving back, and got us immediately signed up, switching our giving to charities that are focussed on mother Earth.

“We all know the planet is in huge trouble. So it seems the least we can do is get money to people like WWF to plant trees, or Ocean Conservancy pull the plastic out of the ocean.” Angus Bradley

As members of 1% for the Planet, safedrop has pledged to give a minimum of 1% of our gross sales to nonprofit causes. We’ll be audited by the 1% for the planet team to ensure we are giving like we say we will, and they also hook us up with carefully vetted charities that are putting the planet first.

1% for the planet is easy to join, and its ONLY 1%. Join us! Send this story, or maybe Yvon’s book to your boss or shareholders. Imagine if every business donated 1% of gross sales. We could fix things so quickly. Our children would inherit a plastic and pollution free world. All you have to do is change some processes in your accounts department, the hard working charities are already putting the hard work in that will fix things.
